Digital Island, Spark Business Group's cloud-based contact centre solutions provider, welcomes Susannah Redstone, a seasoned telecommunications leader, as their new General Manager, Solutions and Services.

With more than 20 years’ industry experience, including roles at TelstraClear, CallPlus, Spark, and most recently as Head of One NZ’s Broadband and Vodafone TV, Redstone brings a wealth of knowledge. In her role, Redstone will spearhead the development of innovative best practice solutions tailored to meet customer needs, leveraging her extensive expertise in delivering products that meet customer needs and create seamless customer experiences.

Redstone says, “I believe that technology serves as an enabler, and with the right guidance and support, New Zealand businesses can discover new ways to serve their customers and thrive in the digital era. I am particularly excited about Digital Island's unique approach, leveraging consulting and professional services to delve deeper into organisations and employing a strategic blend across technology, operational efficiency, and digital transformation to drive exceptional customer experience outcomes.

“In the rapidly evolving telecommunications and digital landscape, amid challenging financial conditions, businesses face uncertainties in investment decisions. My aim is to cut through the noise, assisting Digital Island's clients in finding solutions that matter, so they can grow their business and meet the evolving service expectations of their clients.”

Leon Sheehan, Digital Island's Chief Executive is thrilled about Redstone's arrival. "Contact Centres are transforming into hubs of innovation, combining artificial intelligence, augmented reality, sustainability, cyber security, and more, to create a seamless and personalised customer experience. Susannah knows how to turn tech advancements into real solutions and her focus on making people and businesses more connected and productive will be a big win for our clients," says Sheehan.

Redstone advocates for increasing women's representation in the tech industry. “We have some shining examples of female leaders in NZ tech, but we are often in the minority at industry events. It’s an exciting industry that does have a lot of opportunities for women as well” she says.

Redstone's advice for success? “Always be curious and embrace change. It's a philosophy that's guided my career, sparking change, and seizing opportunities.”
