If you have children under 18 and don’t have internet at home (not counting data on your mobile) you are eligible for Spark Jump. Simply check you can get the service at your address and find your nearest partner.

It costs $10 for 30GB of data and you can top-up as you go. A modem is provided free for as long as you’re using Spark Jump.

You’ll be able to comfortably browse the internet and check emails. Spark Jump is designed for learning and it’s great for children to do their homework and for parents and caregivers to access health, government, shopping and job sites. You can watch videos and listen to music using Spark Jump, but the data will be used much faster. You can check how much data you’ve used by logging into your Skinny dashboard.

Just like a mobile phone, you will need to top up your data when it runs out. Your 30GB of data will expire after 30 days but you can top up as often as you need, when it suits your family’s budget.

You can top up in two ways:

  1. Purchase a Skinny voucher in various places like dairies, petrol stations and supermarkets.

  2. With a debit/credit card online. Head to www.skinny.co.nz and login to your Skinny dashboard, go to the ‘Combos’ tab, then find ‘Spark Jump 30GB’ and click the ‘top-up’ button.

To sign up you visit your nearest Spark Jump partner. Spark Jump is not available at Spark stores - community partners will help you sign up and get started. To find your local Spark partner, visit here.

In four easy steps you’ll have your home WiFi up and running. You’ll need to do this at a place where there is internet access such as a school or library.

  1. Create and account

  3. Submit your Kawa of Care form

You can only use your modem to receive the Spark Jump service at the location you entered into the Kawa of Care when you signed up, as per the Terms. If you move house, let your community partner know and they can update your record so that your modem works at your new address. You will also need to update your address in your Skinny account. If your modem is used in an address that’s different from what’s on record, it may be blocked and no longer work.

Please return your modem to the community partner who signed you up.
