Spark launches new customer space at Spark Arena with international pop star Halsey

This evening, Spark will host an exclusive event for the launch of their new customer space. S @ Spark Arena will be a place exclusively for Spark customers to sit back, relax, have a drink and enjoy the atmosphere before their favourite artist or sports team hits the Arena’s main stage.

On the one-year anniversary of the re-brand to Spark Arena, Spark will open the doors to this new space. Guests will experience an intimate performance by international pop star Halsey ahead of her full arena show this evening.

Spark CEO of Home Mobile and Business, Grant McBeath, says “We are passionate about getting Spark customers closer to the music, through exclusive ticket offers, concerts and ‘money can’t buy’ experiences.

“S @ Spark Arena will be a space exclusively available to Spark customers that provides us yet another way to give them a really special experience when visiting the arena. S @ Spark Arena customers will be able to relax in the space with a free drink on arrival to kick off their evening out, with the gig only metres away.”

The space, designed by New Zealand renowned interior designer Paul Izzard will enhance the concert experience for Spark customers both before and after shows. It will also host a variety of events including corporate hosting, intimate concerts and product launches.

“The design and concept of S @ Spark Arena was developed in a way that heroes and celebrates Spark’s leading-edge technology and is an extension of Spark Arena – an entertainment platform for everyone from sports fans to live music enthusiasts. With unique lighting design, technology offerings, stage set-up and contemporary design, S @ Spark Arena has the flexibility to be transformed and tailored to the different shows in the Arena and offers Spark customers a complete entertainment experience,” Izzard says.

From Friday 20th April, any Spark customer with a valid concert ticket can register to be on the guest list for S @ Spark Arena. Customers who wish to access the space should go to www.spark.co.nz/music in the weeks before their gig and register their name on the guest list. Successful customers will be notified in the run up to the gig.

Music has long been at the heart of Spark’s offering to customers. Spotify Premium is included on selected mobile plans, Spark has just sponsored the second Auckland City Limits. It also offers exclusive access to music events through its partnerships with Live Nation, major New Zealand record labels and other industry partners. Finally, Spark supports the Spinoff with their music section.
